Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role involves assisting clients in their daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations and a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.
**Please be aware that we very rarely are able to hire someone looking for a 9a-5p, Monday-Friday job. Our hours are based on what's best for our individuals and their schedules. Which includes weekends and holidays. We do our very best to accommodate requests such as only one weekend day, every other weekend, etc. **
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide patient care and support in a group home or assisted living setting.
- Monitor and document clients' health status, including vital signs and any changes in behavior or condition.
- Implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and skill development.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Assist with medication administration as required, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
- Provide support during transportation to appointments or community outings.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
