Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail extensions with precision and artistry
- Apply color theory principles to create custom nail designs that match client preferences and trends
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation and disinfection procedures for tools, workstations, and treatment areas
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide recommendations, and ensure a positive experience
- Promote retail sales of nail care products and enhance client engagement through upselling techniques
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized work environment that complies with all health regulations
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends in nail art, techniques like dermabrasion or esthetic laser treatments, and new product offerings
Skills
- Strong knowledge of nail care techniques including manicure, pedicure, gel manicures, acrylic application, and nail extensions
- Deep understanding of color theory to assist in custom design creation
- Excellent communication skills for client consultation and building lasting relationships
- Familiarity with salon safety protocols, sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and overall hygiene practices
- Experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on customer service excellence
- Ability to perform advanced treatments such as eyelash extensions or body waxing as needed
- Retail sales skills combined with upselling abilities to promote products confidently while providing value to clients
