Job Title: CDL Class A Bale Route Driver / Bobcat Operator

Job Description
Royal Oak Recycling is seeking a safe, reliable, and experienced CDL Class A Driver with Bobcat operating experience to service assigned bale pickup routes at department stores and retail locations. This position involves operating a tractor-trailer, collecting and transporting baled recyclables, and safely operating a bobcat/skid steer at customer sites.
This is a hands-on, home-daily route position that combines driving with equipment operation. Drivers must be comfortable maneuvering in store docks, parking lots, and other confined retail environments. Familiarity with local traffic patterns, back roads, and customer-specific site requirements is a plus.
Consistent attendance, strong safety awareness, and professionalism are essential. Drivers represent Royal Oak Recycling at customer locations and are expected to perform their duties efficiently while complying with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A day cab with dry van
- Pick up and transport baled recyclables
- Load/unload using bobcat/skid steer
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections
- Secure loads per DOT standards
- Maintain logs and documentation
- Follow all company and safety policies
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, early morning starts
- Weekends as needed
- Home daily
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Minimum 6 months bobcat/skid steer experience
- Acceptable driving record
- Valid DOT medical card
- Must pass DOT drug screen
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred
- 2+ years CDL A experience
- Bale, recycling, or retail route experience
