Treevana powered by Sanctuary is seeking an experienced, hands-on Cultivation Technician Lead to oversee the day-to-day cultivation operations at our Milledgeville, Georgia facility. This position serves as the onsite cultivation lead and works independently while partnering closely with the Vice President of Horticulture, Senior Vice President, and Director of Retail to execute cultivation strategies, maintain exceptional plant health, and achieve production goals. The Cultivation Technician Lead also provides daily guidance and support to the Operations Technician while fostering a culture of accountability, quality, and compliance.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Cultivation Technician Lead is responsible for leading all daily cultivation activities for the Milledgeville cultivation facility. This is a working leadership position requiring extensive hands-on cultivation experience, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to operate successfully with minimal onsite supervision. The role performs all cultivation functions while providing day-to-day direction to the Operations Technician.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead the daily cultivation operations for the Milledgeville cultivation facility.
2. Perform all aspects of cannabis cultivation including propagation, cloning, transplanting, irrigation, pruning, defoliation, trellising, integrated pest management, harvesting, drying, curing, trimming, and sanitation.
3. Provide day-to-day direction, training, and support to the Operations Technician.
4. Monitor plant health, environmental conditions, irrigation systems, and nutrient programs while identifying and correcting cultivation issues.
5. Maintain accurate cultivation, inventory, and compliance records.
6. Ensure compliance with all company SOPs, Georgia regulations, and workplace safety standards.
7. Communicate regularly with remote leadership regarding crop performance, production schedules, operational needs, and improvement opportunities.
8. Maintain cultivation equipment and coordinate maintenance needs.
9. Promote a clean, organized, and efficient cultivation environment.
10. Assist with inventory management, product transfers, audits, and operational initiatives as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous commercial cannabis cultivation experience required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of commercial cultivation techniques and plant health.
- Previous lead or team leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently with limited onsite supervision.
- Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a highly regulated environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday
- Work in warm and humid grow environments under cultivation lighting
- Safely use ladders or approved lifts when necessary
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Successfully complete a background check.
