HR Generalist (Remote)
Salary: $65,000–$75,000 annually + annual bonus based on company and individual performance
We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our fully remote People Operations team. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and can independently manage HR operations with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a small company, startup, or high-growth environment and is comfortable owning processes, solving problems, and improving workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee record updates
- Complete I-9 verification and coordinate background checks
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and audit-ready employee records
- Process employee changes, job updates, and terminations within the HRIS
- Ensure HRIS data accuracy through audits, troubleshooting, and data validation
- Partner with Payroll to provide accurate and timely employee data
- Support employees and managers with HR processes, policies, and documentation
- Maintain HR workflows, checklists, and process documentation
- Manage leave of absence tracking and related documentation
- Support compliance audits and HR projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- 3+ years of HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or HR Operations experience
- Experience working in a small company, startup, or high-growth environment preferred
- Strong knowledge of HR administration, compliance, and employee lifecycle processes
- Experience with HRIS systems; Dayforce experience is a plus
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex HRIS issues and maintain data integrity
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
- Self-directed and comfortable working in a fully remote environment
Experience with complex HRIS platforms is highly valued. The ideal candidate can analyze system issues, trace data sources, and resolve problems independently without requiring extensive training or step-by-step guidance.
