Automotive Dealership Accounting Specialist

Do you have experience working in the office of an automotive dealership? Whether your background is in vehicle billing, title and registration, accounting, deal processing, inventory, accounts payable, or general dealership administration, we would like to hear from you.
Sommer’s Automotive is looking for an experienced Automotive Dealership Accounting Specialist to join our accounting and administrative team. This is a great opportunity for someone who understands dealership processes, enjoys variety, and wants to be part of a collaborative and experienced team.
This position will support a range of dealership office and accounting functions, with responsibilities and cross-training based on experience, strengths, and department needs.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities may include:
- Process new and used vehicle sales paperwork and deal documentation
- Assist with vehicle billing and deal processing
- Support title, registration, lien, and DMV-related paperwork
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain vehicle, customer, and accounting records
- Assist with inventory paperwork and dealership management system entries
- Complete data entry, scanning, filing, and other administrative functions
- Support accounting-related tasks, schedules, deposits, and reconciliations
- Coordinate paperwork and information between Sales, Service, Finance, and Accounting
- Assist with dealer trades and other vehicle documentation
- Provide occasional phone or customer support
- Cross-train in additional dealership accounting and office responsibilities
What We’re Looking For
Automotive dealership office experience is strongly preferred.
We are interested in candidates with experience in any combination of:
- Dealership accounting
- Automotive billing
- Title and registration processing
- Deal processing
- Accounts payable or accounts receivable
- Vehicle inventory administration
- DMV paperwork
- General dealership office administration
You do not need experience in every area listed above. We are looking for someone who brings a solid understanding of dealership operations, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to learn additional functions.

- Able to learn new processes and systems
