Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Virginia
- Previous experience working with pediatric populations or in a school-based setting preferred
- Proficient in assessment, development, and implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches for elementary, middle, and/or high school students
- Familiarity with IEP documentation and participation in IEP meetings a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students according to their individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement
- Develop measurable therapy goals and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Provide direct and consultative therapy within classroom and pull-out settings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
