Position overview
Concraft LLC is seeking an Intermediate Data Analyst / Statistician to support the Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Service (DHS FPS). In this role, you will apply mathematical and statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data, delivering actionable information to federal stakeholders. You will operate independently across a broad portfolio of knowledge management, data analysis, and information-sharing functions in direct support of the FPS mission. This position is required to be covered 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, during core hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Start and end times may be adjusted at the discretion of the Contracting Officer Representative based on mission requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and apply mathematical and statistical methods to collect, organize, interpret, and summarize numerical data to produce usable information for federal stakeholders.
- Conduct knowledge management activities including content analysis, document management, data capture, portal administration, workflow support, data warehousing, decision support, and information dissemination.
- Support planning, architecture, and methodology for enterprise modernization efforts, including selection, implementation, and evaluation of packaged solutions and application integration.
- Support development and implementation of policies, processes, and platforms to enhance information sharing across Incident Command and U.S. Government entities for hostage recovery, detainee affairs, and other portfolios as needed.
- Identify mission-critical information sharing and access requirements for stakeholders and propose technical solutions to address identified gaps.
- Design, construct, and populate internal repositories for analytic, policy, program, background, and legislative information associated with programs and portfolios.
- Provide knowledge management and content support to existing information portals and maintain associated databases.
- Conduct database mining in response to Requests for Information (RFIs) and perform limited analysis of data drawn from various FPS databases.
- Prepare executive-level reports and products including Senior Leader Briefs, In Response to Your Question (IRTYQ) memos, talking points, and other documents as directed by the Senior Watch Officer (SWO).
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or Master's degree (MA/MS) in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, statistics, or a directly related field, with demonstrated ability to perform all functional duties independently.
- Active Secret security clearance (US citizenship required); candidates with a current, transferable clearance strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in knowledge management activities including data capture, content management, and information dissemination.
- Proficiency in database management and database mining techniques using standard analytical tools and platforms.
- Strong written communication skills with experience preparing executive-level reports, briefings, and policy documents for senior leadership audiences.
- Ability to work on-site during core hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with schedule flexibility per mission requirements.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience supporting DHS, law enforcement, or national security federal programs.
- Experience with enterprise modernization initiatives, including requirements gathering, solution selection, and application integration.
- Familiarity with federal information-sharing frameworks, data governance standards, and interagency coordination processes.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and analytical languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience supporting Incident Command or emergency management operations at a federal level.
