TRB + Associatesis seeking an experienced and motivated plans examiner with a minimum of two years of experience performing plan reviews of commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Locations: Orange County Area
Essential job duties and responsibilities of the role include:
· Review building plans and related documents for compliance with California Building Codes, client requirements, and policies.
· Plan review of new buildings, tenant improvements, and remodel projects.
· Review plans for non-structural disciplines.
· Prepare written correction letters and update project status records in a permit tracking system.
· Assist applicants and project designers by providing information and interpretations of building codes, and building regulations, recommend necessary changes to design documents as required obtaining compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Job Requirements:
· Certification as an ICC Building Plans Examiner
· At least two (2) years of municipal experience working as a Plans Examiner.
· An in-depth understanding of the California Building Standards Codes and related standards is essential.
· Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
· Successfully complete a background check
