Job Overview
We are seeking a Design Technician with a background in electronics or power systems to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with at least 2 years of hands on experience or a degree in electronics technology, electrical engineering, or a related field - especially with a focus on DC power supplies.
Duties
- Assist in the design and development of sheet metal enclosures using SolidWorks
- Interface with UL (Underwriters Laboratories) for product compliance and certification
- Respond to technical customer inquiries related to product specifications and functionality
- Create and manage part numbers and Bill of Materials (BOM) in our ERP system
- Support the engineering and production teams in document control and data entry
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working with DC power systems or power supply design
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (especially for sheet metal design)
- Familiarity with CAD tools (not required but a plus)
- ERP experience (creating part numbers, managing BOMs)
