Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests warmly, take drink orders accurately, and deliver prompt, friendly service to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Process cash transactions efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, accurately handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to elevate the guest experience while staying within operational guidelines.
- Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders when necessary, and minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods, including supporting food service when needed.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service practices by checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption to promote safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bartender with strong cocktail mixing skills; fine dining or upscale hospitality experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; prior cashiering or cash handling experience is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in beverage recipe development, mixology techniques, and wine knowledge to craft innovative drinks.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations professionally.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash registers confidently.
- Food safety certification or knowledge of food handling procedures is advantageous; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
- Experience working in the hospitality industry or restaurant environment; retail math skills are beneficial for inventory management.
