Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and provide clear explanations of recommended services.
- Use estimating software and automotive diagnostics tools to assess vehicle issues accurately and prepare detailed repair estimates.
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, or transmission repairs to enhance customer value.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services.
- Maintain thorough service writing documentation, including repair orders and client communication records.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle status, repair recommendations, and maintenance schedules to foster trust and loyalty.
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience or automotive service background is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience or service technician background.
- Proficiency in estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, collision repair processes, and auto estimating techniques.
- Knowledge of essential auto systems including transmissions, oil changes, air brakes, shocks & struts, tire service, and brake repair.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with effective client communication abilities.
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and professionalism.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential for test drives or vehicle inspections.
