Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing facility, dedicated to ensuring optimal operational performance across all production and support systems. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a diverse range of machinery and equipment, utilizing your technical expertise to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, sensors, valves, or wiring using welding (including <LOCATION> welding) and mechanical techniques.
- Operate precision measuring instruments like ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools to assess system performance.
- Manage maintenance activities through the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, parts inventory, and maintenance history.
- Conduct field service tasks involving high voltage systems, low voltage controls, and industrial electrician responsibilities safely and efficiently.
- Support the installation of new machinery or upgrades by interpreting schematics and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in training team members on maintenance procedures and safety protocols related to industrial mechanics and electrical systems.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime during scheduled maintenance or emergency repairs while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience working within a manufacturing facility environment with a strong background in industrial maintenance.
- Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), and electrical troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and CMMS software management.
- Ability to operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts safely; familiarity with industrial tools like ammeters, ohmmeters, welding equipment (<LOCATION> welding), and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical issues quickly and accurately.
- Knowledge of high voltage (HV) systems as well as low voltage controls; experience working with industrial electricians preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective teamwork and customer service within an industrial setting.
- Industrial mechanic experience combined with a background in electrical systems—preferably including military or field service experience—is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and perform maintenance tasks independently while adhering to safety regulations.
