Instructional Aide Substitutes—Flexible School-Based Assignments

Responsibilities:
- Provide academic, social, and behavioral support to students within school classrooms
- Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance, following the direction of teachers and school staff
- Help students navigate daily routines, classroom transitions, and participate in activities
- Implement behavior support plans and assist with IEP-related needs as required
- Support students with mobility, supervision, and, when necessary, personal care tasks
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all learners
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to obtain a TB test per district requirements
- Capacity to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when needed
- Willingness to complete or update required clearances before starting
Preferred Background:
- Previous experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
- Experience with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Training in CPI, PMT, or RBT is advantageous (not mandatory)
- Demonstrated patience, reliability, and strong teamwork skills
