Duties
- Lead and coordinate HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to schematics, design specifications, and safety standards
- Oversee the setup and connection of HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ammonia refrigeration systems
- Read and interpret technical schematics, HVAC design plans, and mechanical drawings to ensure precise installation procedures
- Conduct field service tasks such as troubleshooting system issues, performing equipment repair, and maintaining HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) units
- Utilize tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for ductwork or component fabrication when necessary
- Collaborate with plumbing professionals for integrated system installations involving water lines or refrigerant piping
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction with a strong background in HVAC installation and service technician roles
- Extensive knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, refrigeration technology, and mechanical systems
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair including boilers, appliances, air conditioning units, and ammonia refrigeration systems
- Mechanical knowledge combined with field service expertise in property maintenance or appliance repair is highly desirable
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform welding tasks confidently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining safety standards
