Horticulture Field Manager & Account Manager
We are seeking a talented, design-oriented Horticulture Field Manager & Account Manager to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who loves to work in the field with strong gardening and horticultural knowledge, creative and refined design ability, excellent client communication skills, and a passion for native and ecologically focused gardens.
The Field Manager/ Account Manager will play a key role in creating and overseeing exceptional garden spaces for ongoing gardening clients including seasonal displays while helping maintain the highest standards of care.
Position Responsibilities
Fine Gardening & Management:
- Manage approximately 40 ongoing gardening accounts, overseeing garden maintenance tasks, and seasonal plantings
- Field work – provide gardening maintenance services, lead garden crews by example and subcontractors to ensure high-quality work and client satisfaction
- Communicate with clients about work being performed and build long-term relationships
- Consult with clients on ongoing work and high-end garden design project enhancements with a strong focus on native plants, ecological landscaping, biodiversity, and sustainable horticultural practices
- Create proposals and estimates for enhancements and seasonal services for existing maintenance clients.
- Purchase material for the installations from various growers and retailers
- Coordinate with our existing field maintenance teams to establish work schedules and project priorities
Qualifications
- Strong horticultural and fine gardening knowledge, including perennials, shrubs, trees, native plants, and seasonal containers
- Experience with garden design and plant selection, especially high-end gardens and seasonal plantings
- Passion for ecological landscaping, pollinator gardens, and sustainable horticultural practices
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Experience supervising or coordinating landscape crews and managing employees in the field
- Valid driver’s license required

Schedule
- Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
- Seasonal position running from mid-March through mid-December
