Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact in elementary education by guiding and supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in an engaging, inclusive environment. This contract opportunity spans the full academic year, beginning August 3, 2026, and concludes May 25, 2027. You'll be working closely with a manageable caseload of eight students in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades, with daily hours from 8:15 am to 4:00 pm.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience in elementary special education settings preferred
- Knowledge of individualized education plan (IEP) development and data-driven instruction
- Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet diverse student needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and colleagues
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver high-quality individualized instruction within the LIFT program for assigned grade levels
- Create a supportive classroom environment that celebrates student strengths and fosters growth
- Develop, implement, and manage IEPs, ensuring legal compliance and personalized support for each student in your caseload
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure cohesive educational experiences
- Track student progress and adjust strategies as needed to maximize academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
- Communicate regularly and transparently with parents and guardians
