Our Dermatology practice is seeking an energetic, experienced, professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy, fast-paced dermatology team. We are looking for a friendly, dependable team member who is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service to our patients with a great work ethic.
This position requires someone who thrives in a high-volume medical office, is organized, detail-oriented, and can multitask while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. If this sounds like you, we would love to have you as part of our team.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of Front Office Reception experience REQUIRED
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Office experience REQUIRED
- Dermatology experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is required.
- Knowledge of medical insurance, eligibility verification, referrals, and prior authorizations.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service and phone etiquette.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Reliable, punctual, honest and dependable with excellent attendance.
- Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently while contributing as a team player.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Greet and check patients in with professionalism and compassion.
- Complete patient check-out, collect copays, balances, and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Manage a multi-line phone system with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls efficiently and accurately.
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Obtain referrals and prior authorizations as needed.
- Schedule appointments accurately while following provider scheduling guidelines.
- Scan and upload patient documentation into the EMR system.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist patients with forms, patient portal questions, and general office inquiries.
- Coordinate with management, providers, medical assistants, and other team members to ensure smooth daily patient flow.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.

Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday – Thursdays-(ocassional Fridays as needed)
- No evenings or weekends
