Responsibilities
- Assist with HVAC system installation, including ductwork, equipment setup, and system commissioning under supervision
- Support the repair and maintenance of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and mechanical components
- Learn to read blueprints and JSD Manuals to diagnose issues accurately
- Use hand tools and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and brazing tools to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems
- Participate in service calls to perform system diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance for commercial or residential clients
- Help with tasks related to HVAC systems
- Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports for all performed tasks
Experience
- Prior construction or property maintenance experience is highly desirable
- Experience as a service technician or in appliance repair provides a strong foundation for this role but not required
- Familiarity HVAC design principles, HVAC electrical and plumbing diagnostics, refrigeration, and mechanical systems is a plus, but not required
- Hands-on experience with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems or boiler operation is beneficial
- Knowledge of electrical systems and building automation systems enhances your ability to succeed in this apprenticeship but is not a requirement
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for field service tasks
- Willingness to drive personal vehicle to job sites
- Willingness to purchase own tools
- Certification or coursework related to EPA regulations (such as EPA 608 certification) is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is expected

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
