PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Is responsible for the daily receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering of raw material, supplies, and finished product.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Certification Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License, a good driving record, and proof of insurance on the vehicle used to travel to the district.
- Candidate must have a satisfactory outcome of the fingerprinting background check.
Special Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, and light truck.
- Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read supply requisitions and perform basic arithmetic.
- Spanish (Plus).
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in warehousing to include receiving, stocking, delivery, and inventory control procedures.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

- Receive and record incoming supplies in the warehouse.
- Assemble and prepare orders according to daily shipping orders.
- Take and record inventory counts.
- Clean and organize the exterior yard and respective warehouses.
- Consolidate finished products and optimize space utilization.
- Properly rotate raw materials and finished products.
- Perform other assigned tasks as needed by the department.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
In the absence of the warehouse supervisor, the warehouseman shall temporarily assume the duties of the warehouse supervisor.
Equipment Used:
- Forklift, pallet jack, and light truck
Physical Demands:
- Frequent: Pallet jack, heavy, 50 pounds, and walking.
- Occasional: Lifting and local driving.
