Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various driving capacities, including commercial driving, shuttle driving, and delivery services. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance, as well as excellent communication skills to ensure safe and efficient transportation.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of vehicles, including commercial vehicles, box trucks, and tractor-trailers, in a safe and responsible manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
- Load and unload cargo as required, utilizing equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and dump trucks when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, routes taken, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues that arise during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a high standard of safety for yourself and others on the road.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries or pickups to enhance client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being operated.
- Proven experience in driving roles such as delivery driver, shuttle driver, or bus driving; experience with heavy haul or paratransit is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including tow trucks and flatbeds.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding logistics operations.
