Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to assist with trenching, pipe installation, and utility system construction.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately follow project specifications for sewer lines, water systems, stormwater systems, and sanitary drainage systems.
- Perform utility trenching and underground utilities installation with precision while adhering to safety regulations and blueprint specifications.
- Conduct utility locating using specialized tools to identify existing underground utilities before excavation or construction begins.
- Assist with concrete finishing, forming, welding, plumbing tasks, and pipe laser alignment to ensure high-quality installation standards.
- Maintain safety protocols by following federal construction safety regulations during all phases of work; participate in safety training sessions regularly.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for pipe fitting, concrete work, or general site maintenance as needed.
- Support construction site activities including waste management, stormwater system setup, sewer line installation, and pipeline work to ensure project progress remains on schedule.

Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites involving underground utilities installation or infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawings interpretation, and following construction plans accurately is essential.
- Familiarity with wastewater systems, sanitary sewers, stormwater management systems, water supply systems, and oil & gas infrastructure is advantageous.
- Experience with construction trenching techniques and underground utility locating tools is desirable.
- Understanding of federal construction safety regulations and safety protocol adherence is required for a safe working environment.
- Ability to perform concrete forming and finishing tasks along with basic welding skills will set candidates apart.
