Travel RN - Neonatal ICU - Level II Nursery

Job Details

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Level 2B Special Care Nursery position requiring an active MA license and 2+ years of NICU experience.

25-bed Level 2B Special Care Nursery unit encompassing L&D, PP, NBN, 2 ORs, 2 ANU rooms, and RR
5 LD rooms, 12 PP beds, 2 ORs with RR, and 2 ANU rooms with 4 beds
Average daily census of 15-25 mothers, babies, and laboring patients
Patient ratios include L&D 1:2-3 for evaluations, 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural, and PP 1:3-4
Cares for all patient populations within the unit
Uses EPIC EMR for charting
36-hour work week with day rotation (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a) including 1 night of call and every other weekend
Evening and night shifts do not rotate
No floating required

Active MA RN license required; pending or conditional licenses not accepted
AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
2+ years of NICU experience required
3 years of experience working in one location and 2 years of experience as a traveler preferred
Special Care Nursery and Newborn Care skill sets required
Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Provide specialized nursing care within a Special Care Nursery setting supporting L&D, PP, and NBN patients
Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston
