King Medical Supply, a leading medical equipment rental provider in Southern California, is seeking skilled and experienced Field Service Technicians – Large Equipment Delivery Drivers for our Torrance office.
This is not a standard delivery driver position. Our Field Service Technicians are responsible for delivering, setting up, and troubleshooting large, heavy, and often complex durable medical equipment (DME) in patient homes and healthcare facilities. This role requires physical strength, technical aptitude, and professional communication skills to serve patients and clinical staff effectively.

Job Requirements:
✅ Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) field experience is required.
- Prior hands-on experience with the delivery, setup, and troubleshooting of medical equipment (e.g., hospital beds, patient lifts, CPAP/BiPAP, NPWT, wheelchairs, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Candidates with delivery backgrounds such as Uber, Amazon, or courier services will not meet the qualifications unless they also have substantial experience in DME or a comparable medical logistics role.
✅ Schedule:
- Five (5) 8-hour shifts per week (days may vary as we deliver 7 days/week).
- On-call rotation for two (2) weeks every 6 weeks, covering nights and weekends.
- Availability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
✅ Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no more than 1 point, no DUI).
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Bilingual is a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked delivery vehicle at all times.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery, setup, and pickup of durable medical equipment (DME) according to company protocols.
- Verify daily manifests and confirm all equipment and supplies are properly loaded prior to departure.
- Deliver and install large and sometimes complex medical equipment, including but not limited to:
- Hospital beds (standard and bariatric)
- Wheelchairs and specialty seating
- Negative pressure wound therapy devices
- CPAP and BiPAP devices
- Provide thorough in-home equipment orientations, ensuring patients and caregivers understand usage and safety guidelines.
- Contact patients in advance to confirm delivery times and accessibility at the site.
- Accurately obtain all required documentation and patient/caregiver signatures upon delivery or pickup.
- Document completed tasks and submit all required paperwork and reports at the end of each shift.
- Proactively communicate any issues, delays, or safety concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
- Assist with warehouse operations, inventory checks, and equipment maintenance as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Clean driving record – no more than 1 point, no DUI.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills; able to troubleshoot equipment in the field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Dependable, reliable, and a self-starter with a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 70 pounds.
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance.
- Familiarity with Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside Counties is a plus.
