**SURGERY EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED**

Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and surgeries- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during procedures- Monitor anesthesia during surgeries- Take x-rays- Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, treatment and prevention- Maintain accurate medical records- Clean and maintain equipment as well as work areas.
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, physiology, anesthesia, surgery and care
- Experience in dog handling, animal restraint, and veterinary terminology
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures and techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate nature and genuine love for animals
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask

Education & Experience: Requirements: High School Diploma or GED preferred; 2+ years related experience in Veterinary Medicine, over the age of 18

- Job Type: Full-Time 30-40 hours a week.
Salary: NEGOTIABLE UPON EXPERIENCE
