Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, dependable, and outgoing Residential Service Manager/Site Leader (QIDP/experienced DSP) to support a CILA home serving four adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role is essential to ensuring the health, safety, and overall well-being of the residents while leading and supporting the Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff. This position requires experience handling and managing non-violent behaviors with skills such as de-escalation techniques, trauma informed care, redirection, behavior support plan implementation, and the ability to lead by example in a calm, assertive, consistent, non-reactive, and professional demeanor.
Although the typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8am-4pm, the ideal candidate must be flexible, able to work outside typical hours, and participate in the on-call rotation based on the needs of the home and agency. Supplemental pay is provided for hours worked beyond the normal schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision, leadership, and support to DSP staff to ensure high-quality care.
- Assist residents with daily living needs such as: personal care & hygiene, meal preparation, grooming, cleaning & household tasks, grocery & supply shopping.
- Manage and de-escalate resident behaviors with appropriate response and technique.
- Ensure DSPs complete all required charting and documentation each shift.
- Document progress and support individuals in reaching goals outlined in their service plans.
- Execute in-home and community activities, outings, and events.
- Track expenses, organize receipts, and manage individual funds according to agency budget guidelines.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, and supervising DSPs assigned to the home.
- Schedule and accompany residents to medical appointments - ensuring all forms and medication orders are completed and submitted to the LPN or RN.
- Ensure all supports and services needed by the residents are consistently provided.
- Become authorized and trained to administer medications.
- Build and maintain strong communication with guardians, family members, physicians, case workers, and other external providers.
- Collaborate with two additional Site Leaders to ensure consistency in agency policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist the Executive Director as needed.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience (required)
- Experience managing non-violent behaviors (required)
- Experience as a DSP or CNA (with Illinois-based training) (required)
- Experience as a QIDP (preferred)
- Valid CPR/First Aid Certification (required)
- Valid Driver's License (required)
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Some college or Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- Must pass literacy test & background check (required)
- Ability to use a computer and basic office equipment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Patience and enthusiasm for working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
