Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily Warehouse operations (inbound and outbound product flow), ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of staff and activities. The key responsibilities involve maintaining a safe working environment, planning and prioritizing work assignments for the shift, supervising team members, addressing, and optimizing performance to achieve goals. A passion for Continuous Improvement and the ability to problem solve using observation and data are necessary parts of the job.
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety:
- Prioritizes safety above all else. Demonstrates a high level of awareness for Safety and potential job hazards. Ensure all safety protocols are followed by employees.
- Participates in the Safety Team and works closely with other leaders to constantly improve the safety practices and policies of the company.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures in accordance with company policies and local, state, and federal regulations. Follows and complies with local laws and regulations relating to environmental safety.
Leadership & Performance Management:
- Demonstrates a servant leadership style by leading through example, being humble and maintaining high standards for self and team.
- Promotes a culture of accountability and passion for meeting business objectives in alignment with our Company Core Values.
- Ensure team members are adhering to company policies, procedures, and performance standards. Provides timely feedback to team members. Conducts formal reviews in accordance with the company policy
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and support to team members. Works with HR and Management team to ensure all team members receive necessary training and support.
- Handle team scheduling and manage attendance. Processes timecards and PTO requests in a timely manner.
- Manages individual performance issues with management and HR partner per company policies.
Operational:
- Develop daily plans based on the scheduled orders and needs of the business. Able to pivot and change priorities, due to changes in the schedule.
- Conduct daily management with team members at the beginning of each shift. Embraces opportunity for performance improvement using data and formal problem solving.
- Monitors team output through observation and tools such as Hour-by-Hour boards and Daily Management. Addresses performance output issues in real time to ensure shift targets are met. Maintains hands-on engagement in all processes and is actively involved with all employees during each shift.
- Works with the Director of Supply Chain and Sr. Manager of Purchasing to support procurement activities.
- Actively participates in managing vendor performance by providing feedback on quality of products, packaging and shipping issues, and timely receipts, using system tools and processes.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement within all processes and takes ownership by working with the necessary stakeholders to implement the improvements. Implement Lean practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Completes a daily end of shift report. Communicates frequently and effectively with peers and leadership team, to ensure complete alignment between shifts and Operations Leaders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Preferred Experience: 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for Continuous Improvement.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Education:
- Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- A degree in management or a related field is a plus.
Shift:
- Exempt, salaried
- Standard schedule Monday-Friday, 9am to 6pm. There may be occasions where work outside the standard hours is required, depending on the business needs.
