Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and testing electrical systems for our diverse range of commercial cooking appliances. Your expertise will help drive innovation, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support the manufacturing of top-tier products that uphold our legacy of quality.
Duties
- Design, develop, and validate electrical systems, wiring harnesses, control panels, and electronic components for new and existing products.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Support the development of prototype products and perform hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and evaluation.
- Conduct electrical performance, reliability, and safety testing using appropriate test equipment and data acquisition systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and serviceable.
- Investigate product failures, field issues, and quality concerns to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and execute test plans, validation protocols, and engineering verification activities.
- Research emerging technologies, components, and industry trends to support innovation and continuous improvement.
- Work with suppliers to evaluate electrical components, resolve technical issues, and support cost reduction initiatives.
- Support UL, ETL, NSF, CSA, CE, and other applicable certification and regulatory requirements.
- Assist Manufacturing and Production teams with product launches, pilot builds, process improvements, and troubleshooting.
- Generate engineering change notices (ECNs), technical reports, test summaries, and design documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations regarding product performance, reliability, and safety.
- Assist in the design and optimization of electric heating systems, temperature controls, and energy-efficient solutions.
- Evaluate electrical system performance, energy consumption, and thermal characteristics to ensure product requirements are met.
- Support Sales, Service, and Customer Support teams with technical inquiries and product-related issues.
- Maintain compliance with company safety policies and engineering standards.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 3-4 years of experience in product development, R&D, or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience designing electrical systems, controls, and wiring schematics.
- Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, power distribution, motors, sensors, relays, contactors, and control systems.
- Experience using CAD software for electrical design (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar).
- Hands-on troubleshooting and testing experience using electrical measurement equipment.
- Experience supporting products from concept through production release.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in commercial foodservice equipment, appliances, HVAC, industrial equipment, or related manufacturing industries.
- Experience with PLCs, HMI systems, embedded controls, or microcontroller-based products.
- Familiarity with UL, CSA, ETL, NSF, and other regulatory standards.
- Experience working in sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Project management experience leading engineering projects.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
