Job Summary
Join our culinary team as a Pizza & Manakish Cook, where your passion for fresh ingredients, dough work, and handcrafted food will help bring our menu to life. In this role, you will prepare and cook a variety of pizzas, manakish, flatbreads, and related bakery items while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, presentation, and food safety.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with dough, fresh toppings, cheeses, za’atar, meats, vegetables, and other flavorful ingredients in a fast-paced café and bakery environment. You will play an important role in creating a memorable guest experience by preparing food that is fresh, consistent, and beautifully presented.
- Prepare pizza dough, manakish dough, sauces, cheeses, toppings, spreads, and other ingredients with accuracy and care.
- Stretch, shape, assemble, and bake pizzas, manakish, flatbreads, and similar menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Operate ovens and kitchen equipment safely while maintaining consistent cooking quality.
- Ensure each order meets standards for taste, portioning, appearance, and freshness.
- Prepare classic and specialty manakish, including items with za’atar, cheese, meats, vegetables, and other toppings.
- Support general food preparation, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, preparing fillings, and organizing mise en place.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area, including equipment, prep stations, storage areas, and ovens.
- Monitor ingredient levels and communicate restocking needs to supervisors.
- Assist with menu development by suggesting new pizza, manakish, and flatbread ideas when appropriate.
- Work closely with team members to ensure timely order completion during busy service periods.
- Follow recipes, portion guides, and presentation standards to ensure consistency across all products.
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience in pizza making, manakish making, baking, dough preparation, or restaurant food preparation is preferred.
- Experience working with ovens, dough, flatbreads, pizzas, or similar bakery/café items is highly valued.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Strong knife skills and basic kitchen preparation skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow recipes, portioning standards, and preparation instructions.
- A positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and willingness to learn.
- Experience in cafés, bakeries, catering, or high-volume food service environments is a plus.
- Creativity and interest in developing new flavor combinations is a plus.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
