We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team in Detroit, Michigan inside of a fast paced mental health clinic. As a vital member of our pharmacy staff, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists with various tasks to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services to our valued customers. Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications to customers and healthcare professionals accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare and package medications for distribution, ensuring compliance with legal and safety guidelines.
- Handle prescription intake, data entry, and patient information management in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and conduct periodic stock checks to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and offering medication counseling when appropriate.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to process insurance claims and verify coverage.
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Michigan (CPhT).
- Minimum of one year of practical experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy software and technology for prescription processing.
- Preferred experience with Liberty Software for seamless integration into our pharmacy workflow.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Adept at working in a team and collaborating with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and compliance standards.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, NO weekends or holidays required.
