A clean facility is important anywhere. In a Medical Fitness facility, it is essential.
Our Environmental Services team plays an important role in the health, safety and experience of every person who walks through our doors. The patients and members we serve may be recovering from an illness or procedure, managing a chronic condition, working toward greater independence, or simply trying to become healthier. The work you do helps create an environment where they feel safe, comfortable and confident being here.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces and understands that environmental services is an important part of the overall patient and member experience.
In this role, you will help maintain the cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of the Hancock Wellness Centers, including:
Cleaning and sanitizing fitness, clinical, office, locker room, restroom and common areas
Cleaning high-touch surfaces and helping maintain appropriate sanitation standards throughout the facility
Removing trash and soiled materials and replacing supplies as needed
Cleaning floors, corridors, entryways and other shared spaces
Using cleaning chemicals, supplies and equipment safely and according to established procedures
Identifying areas that need attention and taking initiative to help keep the facility clean, orderly and welcoming
Working alongside fitness, clinical, and operational team members to support an excellent experience for patients and members
Responding professionally and courteously when interacting with patients, members, visitors and coworkers
Following infection prevention, safety and organizational policies and procedures
Environmental Services is an integral part of our care team.
The cleanliness of our equipment, locker rooms, treatment areas and shared spaces directly shapes how people experience our facility. Your work helps reduce risk, supports our clinical and fitness teams, and allows patients and members to focus on what brought them here: improving their health.
You may not be the person designing an exercise program or providing clinical care, but the environment you create makes that work possible.
We’re looking for someone who:
Takes pride in doing a job thoroughly and consistently
Notices details and takes initiative
Enjoys helping and serving others
Works well as part of a team
Can understand and follow written and verbal instructions
Is comfortable learning proper cleaning procedures and the safe use of cleaning chemicals, supplies and equipment
Can work independently while recognizing that their work contributes to the success of the entire facility
Brings a positive, respectful and service-oriented approach to interactions with patients, members and coworkers
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
This is an active position that includes regular standing and walking as well as bending, reaching, squatting, lifting, pushing and pulling while performing cleaning responsibilities. Team members use standard environmental services equipment and appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
