Server Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to kitchen staff
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly, and adhering to sanitation standards for food safety and food handling
Server Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and cashiering procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest inquiries professionally
- Culinary experience or background in food preparation is a plus for understanding menu items and dietary needs
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with reservation platforms like OpenTable is advantageous for managing guest bookings efficiently
