Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Mental Health Clinical Director to lead our behavioral health team in delivering comprehensive mental health and behavioral care. This pivotal role involves overseeing clinical operations, supervising staff, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care across diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. The Clinical Director will champion evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and applied behavior analysis (ABA), while fostering a collaborative environment that promotes growth, innovation, and exceptional client outcomes. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the clinical team, providing supervision, mentorship, and ongoing training to ensure high-quality patient care and adherence to clinical protocols.
- Oversee intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and case management for individuals with mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, co-occurring disorders, and substance use disorders.
- Develop and implement clinical programs that incorporate evidence-based therapies such as psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, social work interventions, and crisis management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR) systems while managing medical records securely.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions, child & family counseling, and specialized pediatric mental health services including PTSD care and autism spectrum disorder interventions.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver home & community care services that support clients' holistic well-being across diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Monitor clinical outcomes through data collection and research initiatives to continuously improve service quality and effectiveness.
Skills
- Extensive experience in mental health counseling, clinical supervision, crisis intervention, and crisis management.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral management techniques, and addiction counseling.
- Strong background working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder.
- Knowledge of ICD-9/10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a clinical team effectively while managing administrative responsibilities related to medical documentation and electronic health records (EHR/EHR management).
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Familiarity with working in hospital settings or outpatient clinics specializing in mental health and behavioral health services.
- Ability to communicate complex medical terminology clearly to clients and families while maintaining compassionate client communication.
