Athens Kitchen Greek Street Food is looking for a skilled, dependable Line Cook to join our growing kitchen team!
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in preparing great food, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented restaurant. Our menu focuses on fresh, flavorful Greek street food, and we’re looking for cooks who care about quality, consistency, and getting food out right.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and specifications
- Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station with all necessary ingredients and supplies
- Ensure food is prepared accurately and served in a timely manner
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Monitor food quality, consistency, portion sizes, and presentation
- Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain smooth and efficient service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift
- Clean and properly store equipment, utensils, and food supplies
- Complete closing and cleaning duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager
- Follow portion-control guidelines to help maintain consistency and minimize waste
- Assist with food prep, inventory, and other kitchen duties as needed
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to help improve kitchen operations and menu items
Requirements
- Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions consistently
- Dependable, punctual, and hardworking
- Ability to work well with cooks, kitchen staff, and management
- Willingness to maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must be at least 18 years old
