Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages with precision and flair, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Engage with guests warmly, taking orders accurately and providing personalized recommendations to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and health regulations.
- Manage cash handling and POS transactions efficiently using systems such as Toast POS.
- Restock bar supplies regularly and monitor inventory levels to ensure smooth service throughout shifts.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate serving food during events like banquets or catering functions.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication to promote guest safety.
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems such as Toast POS; strong cash handling skills are essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service protocols.
- Prior experience in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings is required.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic math skills for accurate cashiering, retail math, and tab management; familiarity with hospitality math is advantageous.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special event days; previous retail or food industry experience is a plus.
