Our flagship product, The Safety Sleeper®, is an enclosed bed system designed to keep a child safe inside. Our fabric is medical grade and our lightweight aluminum frame is incredibly strong. Every aspect of our design is intended to keep your loved one safe. We manufacture The Safety Sleeper® within our shop in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. From ordering raw materials, to bending the frame, cutting the fabric, and sewing the entire enclosure. Our quality is top priority and our team members all take pride in the role they have, all helping families to secure a safe sleeping solution.
The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication, cutting, inspecting, and shipping of all outgoing products. They are also tasked with organizing warehouse materials and must be able to easily maneuver between the Production departments as scheduled. A short period of education and training on the Fabrication of The Safety Sleeper across multiple stations in a hands-on learning environment will take place upon hire.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receiving, unboxing, and stocking inventory between the warehouse and production floor
- Operation of Forklift on an as needed basis
- Cutting, bending, and drilling of aluminum to fabricate frames
- Assemble and disassemble parts individually to inspect in order to uphold company standards
- Communicate inspection results of products that fail to meet company standards to appropriate Management
- Operation of CNC machine and heat press
- Packaging and shipping of completed products
- Performs other related duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Product Inspection or Shipping 0-1yr
- Previous forklift operation experience preferred
- Strong math skills
- Technical skills are a plus: operating band saw, drill press, hand drill, manual pipe bender, rivet setter, rotary fabric cutter
- Experience with Cricut or other computer-controlled cutting machines is a plus
- Working knowledge of medical device industry is a plus
- Experience with Google Workspace is a plus
- ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system experience a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employees working in the production area may be exposed to machinery and tools with moving parts. Position frequently requires employees to access storage and shelving units by stretching, squatting, bending, and reaching and the lifting of up to 50 pounds daily or 80-100 with assistance. This position may also require the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time. SALARY
$16-18/hour
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
