Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Plumbing Foreman to lead and oversee plumbing projects within commercial construction environments. In this role, you will coordinate skilled tradespeople, manage daily operations on-site, ensure adherence to safety standards, and deliver high-quality plumbing installations and repairs. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of plumbing crews on commercial construction sites, ensuring efficient workflow and safety compliance.
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to plumbing systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipe installation, gas piping systems, and plumbing fixtures according to project specifications.
- Ensure all work meets local building codes, plumbing building codes, and safety regulations while adhering to project timelines.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, welding tools, and other mechanical devices safely and effectively.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems for quality assurance, troubleshoot issues using schematics and technical manuals, and perform maintenance or repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure clear communication and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
- Extensive construction experience with a focus on commercial plumbing projects.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing building codes, local regulations, and safety standards including OSHA regulations.
- Skilled in pipe installation techniques such as pipe threading, welding, fitting, and assembly of plumbing components.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools (including HVAC-related equipment), heavy lifting gear, and specialized mechanical devices safely.
- Experience with gas piping systems and HVAC integration within commercial settings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), remodeling projects, carpentry basics, and handyman skills for versatile job site support.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service; capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams on construction sites.
- Valid commercial driver’s license preferred for site travel; familiarity with construction site safety regulations essential.
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
