* Make sure the company follows DOT, FMCSA, safety rules
* Monitor driver safety records and CSA scores
* Review driver logs / hours of service (HOS) and ELD compliance
* Check driver qualifications (CDL, medical cards, background checks, MVRs)
* Handle accident investigations and insurance reports
* Create safety policies and enforce company rules
* Conduct driver safety meetings and training
* Track speeding, hard braking, distracted driving, and unsafe behaviors
* Manage drug & alcohol testing programs
* Perform truck and trailer safety audits
* Make sure inspections, maintenance, and paperwork are completed
* Help reduce accidents, tickets, and violations
* Work with dispatch, drivers, mechanics, and management on safety issues
