Make your first (or next) nursing role matter.
At Silver State Adolescent Treatment Center, we’re building something rare: a modern psychiatric residential program designed specifically for adolescents, where structure meets compassion and every team member is empowered to do their best work. This is a place for nurses who want more than “tasks” and “bed checks” and instead want purpose, growth, and a team that has their back.
If you’re a new graduate from a top program (or an RN ready for a mission-driven shift), you’ll find an environment where you can sharpen your clinical judgement, strengthen your leadership voice, and help teens heal in ways that change the trajectory of their lives.
The Role: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)
As an RN on our adolescent psychiatric residential team, you’ll be a steady clinical presence, a calm in the storm, and a key partner in treatment. You’ll combine evidence-based nursing practice with real human connection, supporting teens navigating serious mental health needs and complex life experiences.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Care & Assessment
- Complete thorough mental health and nursing assessments, identifying risks, needs, and strengths.
- Develop and carry out individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
Medication & Monitoring
- Administer medications safely and confidently.
- Monitor for side effects, therapeutic response, and clinical changes, escalating concerns with sound judgement.
Crisis Support
- Provide crisis intervention, triage, and de-escalation for patients in acute distress.
- Support a safe, structured milieu while maintaining dignity and respect.
Team-Based Collaboration
- Work alongside psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, and program staff to coordinate care.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, advocating for patient needs and adjusting plans based on progress.
Patient & Family Education
- Teach patients and families about diagnoses, medications, treatment options, and coping skills.
- Reinforce strengths-based approaches that help teens build resilience beyond discharge.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation aligned with regulatory and clinical standards.
- Follow safety protocols and uphold a culture of accountability and quality.
