Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Heavy Duty Tow Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and excellent customer service skills. As a Heavy Duty Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles and providing assistance to drivers in need. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and professionalism while interacting with customers during stressful situations. Must live in Lexington.
Duties
- Operate heavy duty tow trucks, including flatbed and manual transmission vehicles, to safely transport disabled or damaged vehicles.
- Class A CDL required to drive and operate heavy duty wreckers.
- Seeking an experienced heavy duty tow truck driver that has experience with towing tractor trailers.
- Mechanical knowledge a plus.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting stranded motorists and addressing their needs promptly.
- Manage conflicts effectively while maintaining a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.
- Conduct routine inspections of towing equipment to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and vehicle conditions.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license and appropriate endorsements for heavy duty tow truck operator.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair preferred.
- Familiarity with load unloading procedures and safety protocols in towing operations.
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging customer interactions effectively.
- Prior experience in light and heavy duty towing a plus.
