Training & Onboarding Specialist
Pay: $17–$18/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 7:00am–4:30pm | Friday: 7:00am–11:00am
Location: Woodstock, GA
One of our clients is seeking a motivated and people-focused Training Coordinator to support employee training, onboarding, and safety initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role works closely with employees, supervisors, and leadership to ensure team members are properly trained and set up for success.
This is a hands-on role that requires flexibility, as you will move between the production floor, office, and plant environment throughout the day. The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with people, is comfortable speaking in front of groups, and can successfully balance multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
- Conduct new hire orientation and communicate company policies, procedures, and safety expectations
- Deliver employee training related to production, quality, and safety
- Support onboarding activities and conduct plant safety tours
- Track and maintain employee training records and certifications
- Perform follow-up assessments and refresher training as needed
- Conduct daily safety walkthroughs and report findings
- Partner with supervisors and area leads to identify training needs
- Schedule and assist with monthly safety training
- Coordinate safety recertifications and OSHA-related training
- Maintain training documentation to ensure ISO compliance
- Conduct Lean 6S audits and maintain related records
- Update Training Matrix systems and employee certifications
- Report safety concerns and support additional projects as needed
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of training, onboarding, coaching, mentoring, or employee development experience
- Strong customer service and people skills
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups and conducting training sessions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Moderate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated with strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working on both the production floor and in an office setting
Preferred:
- Manufacturing or production environment experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Experience with OSHA, safety procedures, ISO standards, or training systems
