Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems across various commercial and residential sites. Duties
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, Ethernet networks, fiber optic cabling, and access control systems.
- Perform fiber splicing and cable management using power tools and hand tools to ensure secure and organized wiring.
- Read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute installations and repairs.
- Conduct field service visits for maintenance, system upgrades, or emergency repairs at client sites.
- Test network connectivity using tools such as ohmmeters and network analyzers; diagnose issues related to LAN, WAN, or telecommunication equipment.
- Collaborate with clients to provide excellent customer service by explaining system functions and resolving technical problems efficiently.
- Repair or replace equipment including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, Avaya systems, and other telecommunication hardware as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar low voltage installation role with knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, LAN/WAN configurations, and network protocols.
- Hands-on experience with CCTV systems, fiber splicing, cabling (Cat5/Cat6), VoIP telephony (including Avaya systems), and electrical wiring.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams accurately; familiarity with Cisco routers and Juniper equipment is a plus.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, testing devices such as ohmmeters, and equipment repair techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical clients.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel for field service assignments.
- Relevant certifications or training in telecommunications or electrical work are preferred but not required; ongoing learning encouraged.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
