Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Responsibilities:
· Safely and efficiently operate mobile heavy equipment and material processing equipment, including loaders, haul trucks, screening plants, stacking conveyors, etc. according to project requirements.
· Load materials onto trucks or other equipment using appropriate techniques.
· Feed material into material processing equipment while monitoring equipment efficiency and material quality.
· Manual labor tasks such as shoveling may be required to maintain equipment in good operating condition.
· Perform routine equipment inspections to ensure proper functioning and identify any maintenance needs.
· Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
· Follow project plans, blueprints, and specifications to meet project requirements.
· Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, and fellow team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth project progression.
· Always adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices.
· Keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and materials moved.
Qualifications:
· Valid driver’s license
· Able to obtain safety certifications
· Able to obtain a TWIC card
· Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator
· In-depth knowledge of operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment.
· Ability to interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications.
· Proficiency in using machine controls and operating systems.
· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Solid understanding of safety protocols and the ability to follow them.
· The ability to work in various weather conditions.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
