American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures Technologist with 2+ years of experience and extensive endovascular expertise, including required Zeego and Pheno proficiency, for a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated teaching hospital.

Special Procedures unit within a Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital with 820 staffed beds
-
High-acuity hybrid OR environment performing complex endovascular and interventional procedures
-
Procedures include FEVAR/PMEG, EVAR, TEVAR, AAA/TAA repair, angiograms, declots, lysis, stenting, embolization, and TAVRs
-
Equipment used includes Siemens Zeego and Pheno hybrid imaging systems, Siemens portable C-arm, Penumbra, AngioJet, Shockwave, IVUS, Jet Stream, and Medrad devices

Charting via Epic (experience required)
-
4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, scheduled per unit needs with occasional late shifts possible

Flexible on-call schedule required, approximately 8 shifts per month on a rotating basis

Holiday on-call coverage may be required

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Special Procedures

Hybrid OR experience required
-
Extensive endovascular experience required, including FEVAR/PMEG, EVAR, TEVAR, AAA/TAA, TAVRs, angiograms, declots, lysis, stenting, and embolization
-
Greater than 1 year of hands-on experience with Siemens Zeego and Pheno imaging systems required
-
Experience with vascular supplies including balloons, diagnostic catheters, wires, and sheaths required
-
Proficiency with PACS, Siemens advanced vascular features, digital subtraction, road mapping, and fluoroscopic measurements
-
Epic EMR experience required

Current ARRT certification and BLS (AHA) required
-
A radiation monitoring badge is required; badge to be provided by the agency

Ability to work independently and under pressure in a high-acuity setting
-
SC state license required if applicable

Valid driver's license and SSN required for consideration

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

No scrubbing required for this position

Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the standard travel rate; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on departmental needs

Online modules are completed prior to the assignment start date

During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
