We are located few minutes away from Trumbull mall on Main Street at Commerce Park.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team.
As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings. Evaluating and identifying caries and periodontitis.
```Responsibilities```
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, sealant and fluoride treatments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform oral cancer screenings and identifying any oral pathology, caries and periodontal disease
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for improvement
- Administer local anesthesia as needed
- Assist the dentist during charting and examination
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment
```Experience```
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist
- Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft
- Knowledge of medical coding and terminology
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is a plus
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on oral health
