Perioperative / Circulating Registered Nurse

Cascadian Plastic Surgery is seeking an experienced, patient-focused Registered Nurse to join our growing office-based surgery center. This position is ideal for a versatile perioperative nurse who enjoys working in a collaborative, high-quality surgical environment where patient safety and exceptional care are the highest priorities.
As a circulating nurse, you will work closely with the surgeon, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologist to provide safe, efficient care throughout the perioperative experience. In our small surgery center, team members wear multiple hats and take pride in maintaining an organized, inspection-ready facility.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the circulating nurse during office-based surgical procedures.
- Perform preoperative patient assessment, preparation, education, and documentation.
- Provide intraoperative nursing care and maintain accurate surgical records.
- Coordinate postoperative recovery, patient monitoring, discharge teaching, and follow-up instructions.
- Ensure compliance with AAASF standards, infection prevention practices, and Washington State regulations.
- Assist with medication management, equipment checks, crash cart readiness, and emergency preparedness.
- Participate in quality improvement, policy review, and accreditation readiness activities.
- Assist with inventory management, supply ordering, and maintaining an efficient surgical environment.
Qualifications
- Current Washington State Registered Nurse license.
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification required or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
- Minimum of 2 years of perioperative nursing experience; ambulatory surgery or plastic surgery experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a small surgical team.
- Commitment to exceptional patient care, safety, professionalism, and continuous quality improvement.
