Immediate Supervisor: Missions and Student Ministries Pastors
Principal Functions: This position supports the Missions Pastor and Student Ministry Pastor and their respective ministries.
Responsibilities:
Missions
- Provides administrative support to the Missions Pastor and the Missions Committee
- Helps people connect with the Missions Ministry of the church
- Evaluates local missions opportunities for community engagement and support
- Assists with the recreation ministry of the church with scheduling, events, ministry coordination, etc.
- Helps with the ESL (English as a Second Language) program of the church
- Coordinates with all ministry areas to develop partnerships in relevant mission activities
- Assists pastors to identify, recruit, and train lay leadership. Coordinates regular training sessions
Students
- Orders all supplies needed within the ministry and classes
- Prepares and coordinates information for small groups, classes, seminars, and special events
- Prepares information for leaders and facilitators to support volunteer engagement
- Organizes activities and special events
- Creates graphics and maintains web pages, social media posts and print materials
- Creates brochures, booklets, postcards, graphics and signage for ministry areas
- Makes event/activities, camp, conference, reservations and arrangements/transportation
- Uses creativity to bring new ideas to ministry areas
- Attends parent meetings as needed
- Assists in organizing fundraising events
General
- Make, answer, and return phone calls and emails
- Assists with front office duties such as guests, phone calls, and a myriad of other needs
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Pastors
Requirements:
- Ability to pass background check
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree with 2-3 years administrative work experience, preferred
- Graphics/social media experience preferred (Facebook, Instagram)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, editing skills
- Strong organizational and relational skills; detail oriented; ability to prioritize and multitask; excellent communication skills
- Experience in Adobe and/or Canva graphic design, Adobe Graphics, Shelby NeXT database, WordPress website is a plus
- Have an active church membership, show evidence of a Christian character, and a heart for discipleship and student ministries
- Passion for using skills to further God's glory and our church's mission, vision and culture

Pay: $38,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
