Position Summary
Sebastian Construction Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction projects in Houston. This individual will play a key role in maintaining project schedules, budgets, communication, and overall project success while fostering strong relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal staff.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a collaborative environment, communicates effectively, and is passionate about delivering high-quality projects.
ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Team Dynamics
- Lead project teams through all phases of construction
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and clear communication
- Identify and resolve project challenges proactively
- Create and maintain a clear path toward successful project execution
Client & Design Team Communication
- Maintain timely, professional, and informative communication with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors
- Conduct and lead project meetings
- Ensure alignment between all project stakeholders
Material & Manpower Readiness
- Coordinate manpower, materials, and subcontractor readiness
- Proactively manage scheduling milestones and scope deadlines
- Anticipate project needs to maintain workflow efficiency
Project Urgency & Problem Resolution
- Maintain project momentum and accountability
- Identify obstacles early and implement solutions quickly
- Motivate and manage team members to achieve project goals
Financial, Schedule & Quality Management
- Monitor and maintain project budgets, schedules, and quality standards
- Manage change orders and subcontractor buyouts effectively
- Conduct regular owner financial meetings
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of SWOs and SCOs
- Maintain strong financial transparency with clients and stakeholders
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of construction project management experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Bluebeam, Sage, and/or Procore
Preferred
- Commercial construction experience
