Experienced Stainless Steel Fabricator / TIG Welder

Process Equipment Installers (PEI) is looking for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join our growing team. We build custom equipment for the food, beverage, and industrial manufacturing industries. Almost every project is different, so we're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems and building high-quality equipment—not someone looking to make the same part every day.
What You'll Build
- Custom stainless steel conveyors
- Platforms, mezzanines, and access stairs
- Machine bases and structural frames
- Sanitary process equipment
- Guards, hoppers, chutes, tanks, and custom fabrications
- Prototype and one-off industrial equipment
Responsibilities
- Fabricate equipment from shop drawings and blueprints
- TIG weld stainless steel (12 ga through heavy plate)
- MIG weld carbon steel and stainless steel
- Lay out, fit, tack, and assemble projects with minimal supervision
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols
- Operate fabrication equipment including press brake, shear, saws, drill press, grinders, and forklifts
- Perform accurate measuring, fitting, and quality inspections
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work with project managers to solve fabrication challenges when they arise
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of fabrication and welding experience
- Strong TIG welding skills on stainless steel (required)
- MIG welding experience on carbon and stainless steel
- Ability to fabricate directly from prints without constant direction
- Experience fitting structural steel and sheet metal
- Experience with sanitary food-grade fabrication is a plus
- Forklift experience preferred
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work safely around fabrication equipment
