About The Cellular Resource
The Cellular Resource (TCR) is a specialized mobile device refurbisher and distributor serving high-volume e-commerce and wholesale channels. We operate as a lean, agile team where operational accuracy is the foundation of our growing business. We are looking for a Part-Time Inventory & E-Commerce Specialist to take full ownership of our stock integrity and data accuracy.
In this role, you will be responsible for the integrity of our inventory systems. You’ll ensure that our internal data reflects our physical holdings precisely, enabling seamless fulfillment. You will provide leadership with insights needed for strategic growth. This is a critical position for a professional who prefers a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining a gold-standard operational workflow.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Control, Reporting, & Data Integrity
- Audits: Drive accuracy through inventory counts and reconciliation: frequent cycle counts and biweekly global counts
- QC: Execute targeted Quality Control checks on processed devices and report discrepancies to management to maintain product integrity, such as checking inventory labels and device grading
- SKUs: Verify and maintain SKU accuracy for products and variations across all integrated systems and physical inventory
- Pending devices: Regularly check devices in pending statuses to ensure they’re progressing on-time and accurately
- Inventory Reporting: Compile and present inventory reconciliation data and key metrics to management to guide strategic decision-making
- Fulfillment: Oversee the accurate staging and retrieval of devices for wholesale and retail orders to ensure on-time dispatch
- Compliance & Loss Prevention: Execute data validation audits for ISO/R2 compliance and investigate inventory discrepancies in detail to mitigate loss
2. E-Commerce Customer Experience and Processing
- Technical Customer Service (~10hrs/wk): Engage with customers via online messaging to resolve inquiries and manage returns, exchanges, and refunds. Online messaging is through selling platforms only; no customer phone calls necessary. A strong foundational knowledge of mobile phone operations is required to provide competent, effective support (iOS/Android)
- Returns: Manage the end-to-end return lifecycle: assess incoming devices, update records, liaise between customers and internal teams, coordinate repairs and replacements, track financial transactions, finalize customer resolutions
- Channel Reconciliation: Maintain alignment between physical stock and digital listings by verifying quantities, device statuses, SKUs, and physical labeling across all sales channels
- E-Comm Reporting: Track and analyze key performance metrics, including listing accuracy, customer satisfaction trends, disputes and investigations, and channel health, to identify operational improvements.
- Listing: Assist with e-commerce listings as needed
Candidate Profile
- Flexible: Adaptive to a high-growth environment; thrives while managing shifting priorities and wearing many hats
- Accountable: Takes full ownership of project outcomes with a commitment to reliable execution and accurate reporting
- Detail-Oriented: Maintains meticulous accuracy across complex inventory sets, data logs, and physical labeling
- Analytical: Skilled at querying, organizing, and visualizing data to drive decisions; proficient in spreadsheets and inventory management software
- Resourceful: Balances multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously and learns new operational systems quickly
- Tech-Savvy: Deeply familiar with mobile ecosystems (iOS/Android) and quick to adopt new technology or automation tools
